The chief of police of Makati City and other police personnel were sacked from their posts following the concerns raised by Act Teachers party-list Rep. France Castro about a policeman firing his gun near her car in Makati City.

Aberin’s order for investigation stemmed from the statement issued by Castro during a House hearing about how she witnessed a policeman fired his gun near her vehicle. Castro questioned why the policeman fired his gun in a busy street with civilian motorists, commuters and pedestrians.
