CEBU CITY – Banking on the increasing desire for green transportation options in the country, a global automotive brand recently introduced new eco-friendly and technologically advanced vehicles in this city.

Eres Automotive on Dec. 18 opened the Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines car dealership here. The first dealership in the country is located at Gaisano Mall in North Reclamation Area.

“With a rising demand for electric and hybrid vehicles, we see great potential in Cebu and the broader Philippine market,” said Carlo Joseph Japson, the chief executive officer of Eres Automotive Inc., the local automotive distributor of Omoda and Jaecoo.“Our partnership with Omoda and Jaecoo will allow us to introduce innovative and eco-friendly vehicles to Filipino drivers who are ready to embrace a cleaner, more sustainable way of driving,” added Japson.

The group introduced to the local market the Omoda C5 built with Omoda’s “Cross F Futur” design philosophy which features advanced technologies, including a Smart Key with Remote Engine Start and a Voice Control Command System. It is available in three variants, all priced under P1.3 million. The E5 is available in two variants, with the Comfort variant including a complimentary 7kW wall charger. Both variants are priced under P1.7 million.
