The Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP) is supporting Manila Mayor Isko Moreno’s initiative to reorganize the routes for electric tricycles (e-trikes) in the city.
In its statement, the group said all tricycles should not be allowed on national roads.
It said it was looking forward “to working with the City Government on how to maximize the proper and optimal use of e-trikes in the city.” EVAP admitted that many e-trikes were allowed to ply in some areas in the city “with minimal consideration on its proper operation, which eventually creates disorder.”
