ILOILO CITY – The Department of Trade (DTI) has urged sustainable consumption in this city and the province of Iloilo.
“These are old concepts, but we are reminding everyone to practice sustainable consumption,” said DTI-Iloilo Director Maria Dinda Tamayo on Consumer Welfare Month.
With the theme “GenS: Generation Sustainable,” DTI-Iloilo is pushing the 7Rs of sustainability: Rethink, refuse, reduce, reuse, repurpose, recycle, and repair. Dorita Chavez, DTI-Iloilo senior trade industry development specialist, said the advocacy is also being pushed not only to consumers but also to micro, small, and medium enterprises .
