PETALING JAYA: Chinese community leaders representing the Johor Village Development and Security Committee (JPKK) should play their part in assisting the state government curb drug addiction, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

The MCA president congratulated the 100 community leaders for attending the"Training of Trainers Workshop to Empower the Johor Community Leaders Series 2" organised by the National Anti-Drugs Agency in Johor."Such an event allows the community leaders, who have gained much useful information from the workshop, to share it with their respective communities.

"I hope the leaders, especially those from MCA, will play a part in assisting the Johor state government in its effort to curb drug addiction," he said in a Facebook post on Saturday . Dr Wee said he also took the opportunity to share with the leaders the issues he had raised recently in Parliament. Those who were present at the event were Johor exco member and Yong Peng assemblyman Ling Tian Soon, Klebang assemblyman and MCA vice-president Datuk Lim Ban Hong, Johor AADK director Azli Ubin and other Johor MCA leaders.
