JOHOR BARU: Johor plans to build more Rumah Transit Bangsa Johor (RTBJ) within the next five years, says Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi.

He said there are plans to build some 500 units of RTBJ, starting from 92 units this year and 216 units in 2024.Onn said this at the launch of the Johor Housing Development Corporation Transformation Services on Thursday here.

Onn said under the scheme, he said eligible Johoreans would have to fork out RM650 monthly in order for them to own the RTBJ houses. "The amount accumulated from the savings after five years is RM11,000 and the money will be used as a deposit to pay for a house," said Onn.Separately, Onn said two special task forces would be mobilised to address the property overhang and squatters issue in Johor.
