THE Department of Public Works and Highways has completed the construction of a flood mitigation project and a farm-to-market road that fortifies community resilience and props up the local economy in the towns of Boac and Gasan in Marinduque.
“The newly completed river wall is a significant measure in establishing a sustainable and resilient infrastructure that will protect residents from the threat of flooding and water overflowing to their properties, livestock, and essential resources,” Ragragio said. The 279-lmeter road in Barangay Duyay included the construction of concrete pavement on both sides, with a canal and stone masonry to ensure durability and resilience against adverse weather conditions.
