Carlos Yulo, after a well-deserved break following his two gold medal wins at the 2024 Paris Olympics, is set to embark on a series of training camps in Malaysia, Japan, and Korea. These camps aim to prepare him for several competitions throughout the year, starting with the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) Apparatus World Cup in Germany next month.
Double-gold Olympic medalist Carlos Yulo is set to go into a series of training camps in Malaysia, Japan and Korea to prepare him for several competitions this year.IT’S back to serious training this month for Carlos Yulo , who took a long break, rest and vacation after winning two gold medals in the 2024 Paris Olympics last August.
“These camps are for tournaments that he will be preparing for this year,” said Gymnastics Association of the Philippines chief Cynthia Carrion, who is now in Doha, Qatar for an Asian Gymnastics Union meeting. Yulo plunges into action first in the International Gymnastics Federation Apparatus World Cup from Feb. 20 to 23 in Cottbus, Germany.
Next, Yulo will compete for medals in the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Jakarta from Oct. 19 to 25.
