Science Pinas, a groundbreaking initiative by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), will revolutionize how Filipinos perceive science. Blending scientific discoveries with travel experiences, the program aims to showcase the transformative power of science in enhancing communities, industries, and daily life.

The Department of Science and Technology ( DOST ) is poised to launch Science Pinas, a groundbreaking program designed to bridge the gap between science, technology, innovation, and the Filipino people. Scheduled for February 13, 2025, at Casa Ibarra in the Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City, Science Pinas reimagines how science is presented, showcasing its transformative power in communities, industries, and everyday life.

The program takes a unique approach by blending science and travel, exploring iconic destinations across the Philippines and demonstrating how scientific advancements empower livelihoods, foster sustainability, and create opportunities. Science Pinas introduces the concept of 'scientific tourism,' aligning with DOST's mission to decentralize science and ensure its benefits reach all Filipinos. By making science relatable and exciting, Science Pinas features popular tourist spots while highlighting impactful DOST projects spanning agricultural advancements to marine conservation efforts.A key aspect of Science Pinas is the integration of DOST's Niche Centers in the Regions for R&D (Nicer) program. The program will spotlight several of these centers, including the Bamboo R&D Center in Bukidnon, the Garlic R&D Center in Ilocos Norte, and the Pili R&D Center in Albay, all of which are instrumental in driving local industry growth. With Science Pinas, DOST reaffirms its commitment to #OneDOST4U, making science accessible and transformative for all. Premiering on February 15, 2025, on GTV, the program aims to inspire Filipinos to view science as a vital tool for building a sustainable future
