The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said that tropical depression “Domeng” has intensified into a tropical storm on Friday morning, July 1.
PAGASA said that “moderate to heavy rains” will prevail over the Kalayaan Islands, while “light to moderate with at times heavy rains” will be experienced over Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, and the rest of Palawan. As of 10 a.m., tropical storm Domeng was estimated at 940 kilometers east of extreme northern Luzon. It has maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph.
