BREAKING: The Department of Health says the number of local cases of COVID-19 has passed the 5,000 mark as of 4pm today
With 291 more people testing positive for the virus, the tally of cases has risen to 5,223. The death toll also rose to 335, with 20 new fatalities recorded.
The ranks of those who survived the dreaded disease likewise increased to 292, with 53 new recoveries.Since April 4, the country has recorded less than 300 new cases daily, except on April 6 when it recorded 414 new cases.Data from theshows the United States has the most number of cases at over 582,000.
Spain, Italy, France, Germany, United Kingdom, mainland China, Iran, Turkey, and Belgium round up the 10 countries who have the most number of positive COVID-19 cases.
