DOH: Number of new COVID-19 cases in Manila decreasing; ‘growth change’ down by 17%

The number of new coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) cases in the city of Manila is seen to be decreasing, the Department of Health (DOH) reported Thursday. 

The number of new coronavirus disease-2019 cases in the city of Manila is seen to be decreasing, the Department of Health reported Thursday.

The city’s case doubling time, or the time when reported cases are doubled, also slowed down to 9.14 days, the DOH said. In a press conference on Thursday , National Task Force Chief Implementer Carlito Galvez Jr. commended the Manila city government for its mass testing efforts and early detection and prevention of the disease.
