DOH logs 9,069 COVID infections from Nov. 7 to 13; 43% higher than previous week

The Department of Health said it registered 9,069 total infections of COVID-19 from November 7 to 13, which is higher than the cases recorded the previous week. | zacariansINQ

In its latest weekly report on Monday, DOH said the total cases translated to a daily average of 1,296 which was 43 percent higher than what was recorded from October 31 to November 6, at 907.Despite the increase, only six or 0.07 percent of the total cases were tagged as severe or critical, bringing the active number of severe or critical cases to 613.

An additional 113 deaths were also added to the country’s COVID-19 death toll — 41 of which occurred from October 31 to November 13, while the rest were backlogs recorded as early as September 1, 2020.
