NCR COVID-19 positivity rate went down slightly, OCTA Research says

The seven-day positivity rate of COVID-19 in the National Capital Region has decreased slightly as of Saturday, independent group OCTA Research said on Monday.

From the 8.2% positivity rate on November 5, the rate went down to 7.5% on Nov. 12, OCTA Research fellow Dr. Guido David said in aThe positivity rate refers to the percentage of people who were found positive for COVID-19 among the total number of individuals tested.

The said rate also went down in Batangas, Cavite, Davao del Sur, Iloilo, Misamis Oriental, Rizal, South Cotabato, and Zambales, OCTA said.According to data shared by OCTA Research, the positivity rates as of Nov. 12 are as follows, based on information from the Department of Health:Cagayan: 14.2% Isabela: 44.1% Pampanga: 11.2% 1,858 new cases of COVID-19

on Sunday, November 13, even as the positivity rate declined in the previous week, the Department of Health reported. The new additional cases brought the country’s active cases to 19,176, and the total caseload to 4,018,253.The five new deaths brought the total COVID-19 deaths to 64,387 deaths. The positivity rate for the past week covering November 6 to 12 was recorded at 10.4%, lower than the 11.3% seen in the previous week, the DOH said.
