Individuals aged 50 to 59 as well as people 18 to 49 years of age with comorbidities can now get a second booster shot to further protect them against Covid-19, the Department of Health said.
Previous protocol only allowed senior citizens, health workers, and immunocompromised adults to receive the second booster shot. This move is also in line with the launch of the Covid-19 vaccination campaign called “PinasLakas”— aimed at increasing the vaccination uptake, especially on the booster shots, the DOH said.
