Taguig’s active Covid-19 cases soared to more than 800 as the city tallied over 200 new cases in the last two days.
The Department of Health’s Covid-19 Tracker showed that as of July 23, Taguig has 808 active cases out of 85,741 confirmed cases, 84,392 recoveries and 541 deaths.Based on DOH data, Taguig added 121 new Covid-19 cases on July 23 and 124 on July 22. A total of 554 new cases were recorded in Taguig from July 14 to 20, from 476 from July 7 to 13.
The DOH Covid-19 Tracker showed the NCR added 1,324 new cases on July 23, or 36.7 percent of the country’s total of 3,604 new cases for the date. Of the total, 492 individuals 18 years old and above received their first and second doses, while 2,312 got their first booster shot and 1,966 were administered their second booster shot.
A total of 898 minors aged five to 11 were given their first and second doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.
