The Department of Finance was among government agencies lauded by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for its key role in the Philippines’ successful exit from the Financial Action Task Force’s grey list.

Finance Secretary Ralph Recto had said the country’s removal from the grey list served as a “seal of good housekeeping” that strengthened public confidence in its financial system. The president awarded certificates of commendation, plaques and citations of recognition to the heads of the agencies and other key individuals at Malacañang on May 6, 2025.

Other agencies recognized were the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas , Department of the Interior and Local Government , Department of Justice , Department of Social Welfare and Development , Department of Trade and Industry , Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. , Office of the Ombudsman, National Bureau of Investigation and the Philippine Coast Guard .
