FINANCE Secretary Ralph Recto and British Chamber of Commerce Philippines (BCCP) Executive Chairman Chris Nelson met to discuss ongoing efforts and government initiatives on cybersecurity, food security, and the UK-Philippines trade and investments.

The discussion introduced BCCP with a growing network of British and non-British companies present across the Philippines and in multiple sectors, including renewable energy, cybersecurity, infrastructure, pharmaceutical and manufacturing, among others.

Among the key areas discussed during this forum was the administration's agenda on digital transformation. Similarly, Nelson reiterated its support to the priority legislation such as the E-Governance Act, Konektadong Pinoy Act and the Cybersecurity Act, which could further attract investors and facilitate efficient and secure government services to the public and private sectors.
