MANILA, Philippines — In a sweeping move to reorganize the leadership of the Department of Transport ation , Secretary Vivencio Dizon ordered all incumbent undersecretaries, assistant secretaries, and directors to submit their unqualified courtesy resignations by Wednesday.The directive, issued through a memorandum dated Feb. 24, states that the measure aims to give Secretary Dizon a 'free hand' to execute the mandate entrusted to him by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

'In the exigency of service, and in order to give the undersigned a free hand to perform the mandate given to him by the President, all incumbent Undersecretaries, Assistant Secretaries, and Directors of this Department are hereby directed to tender their unqualified courtesy resignations, not later than 26 February 2025,' the memorandum read.
