THE Department of Education said on Monday that it was set to start releasing the P20,000 Service Recognition Incentive for public school teachers and nonteaching staff starting Dec . 20.President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. had ordered the Department of Budget and Management and the DepEd to work on providing P20,000 SRI — an increase from P18,000.'This is a historic moment for DepEd, as we are able to grant the highest SRI ever for our workforce,' Education Secretary Juan Edgardo Angara said.
