DepEd Undersecretary Michael Poa decried the use of the word “delay” in referring to the late release of the PBB.
“But I hope that we can all understand na hindi po ito delay. Talagang lahat ng government agencies dumadaan sa ganyan proseso pagdating sa PBB at talagang nagkakaroon ng reconciliation kasi nga we’re talking about a 2021 bonus that we are evaluating this year,” Poa explained. In April this year, DepEd said that public school teachers would receive their long-awaited bonuses soon, but teachers’ groups have since slammed the further delay of the crediting of the bonuses.
