ILOILO CITY – The Department of Education -Region 6 assured the safety of student-athletes competing in the Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association meet amid the summer heat and the increasing number of Covid-19 cases.
DepEd-6 Director Ramir B. Uytico said protocols are in place for the 4,182 student-athletes participating in the WVRAA from April 26 to 30 in Aklan province. To avoid any major health incidents, Uytico said that student-athletes underwent medical evaluation to be able to join.
