BAGUIO CITY — The Cordillera office of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources supports the local government's initiatives to totally ban the use of air guns in the conduct of hunting activities following the declaration of Apayao as a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization Biosphere Reserve. DENR -CAR regional executive director Engr. Paquito Moreno said that Apayao Gov. Elias Bulut Jr.
'We have to work hard to ensure the preservation of the region's last nature frontier for us to be able to pass it on to the upcoming generations.'The DENR-CAR official pointed out that it will be a difficult task ahead for the concerned government agencies and LGU to enforce the ban that is why there should be close coordination and collaboration among the concerned stakeholders.
