BAGUIO CITY — Mayor Benjamin Magalong has issued an advisory on Monday, directing the public and barangay leaders to prepare for heavy rains in the coming days.

The government's weather agency has forecasted a heavy downpour in the Summer Capital from July 23 to 25 due to Tropical Storm 'Carina' .The mayor also reminded barangay leaders to ensure that no garbage will be left uncollected starting on Monday. He also reminded the public to refrain from indiscriminately throwing their garbage that may end up clogging the drainage inlets.

'Dispose of trash responsibly by using designated bins and avoiding littering in streets, gutters and waterways. Additionally, ensuring that waste is properly bagged and securely tied helps prevent debris from entering the drainage systems,' he said.General Services Officer Eugene Buyucan also reminded barangay leaders to advise their constituents not to bring out their garbage during stormy days and instead keep them properly wrapped and stored within the premises of their homes.
