Former Senator Leila de Lima has returned to her original detention cell at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center after the October 9 hostage-taking incident, the PNP said Friday.

PNP spokesperson Police Colonel Jean Fajardo told GMA News Online that De Lima was brought back to the facility on Thursday evening.

According to Fajardo, De Lima decided to go back to her original cell, where the hostage-taking took place. She also requested to have a female security escort at her quarters.
