The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has released P30.409 billion to cover the pension requirements of military and uniformed personnel (MUP) for the first quarter of 2025. The funds will be distributed to various agencies, including the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine Veterans Affairs Office, Department of the Interior and Local Government attached agencies, Department of Transportation Coast Guard, and National Mapping and Resource Information Authority. This release is part of the P144.724 billion allocated for pension and retirement benefits in 2025.

MORE than P30 billion was released by the Department of Budget and Management to finance the pension of military and uniformed personnel for the first quarter of 2025.

Attached agencies of the Department of the Interior and Local Government also obtained P13.297 billion. These include the National Police , Bureau of Fire Protection , Bureau of Jail Management and Penology . The DBM said the releases are based on the actual pension payroll submitted by the above-mentioned MUP agencies as of December 31, 2024.
