Davao City is ready for the first face-to-face Undas under eased restrictions after two years of restricted observance during the pandemic.
“Para ma plastar ang face-to-face celebration sa Undas after two years of the pandemic,” said Mackie Macalipes, head of CEE, during the I-Speak media forum on Thursday. Medical tents will be set up at the entrances of all cemeteries with medical teams on standby conducting body temperature checks and responding to any medical emergencies.
Only ambulant vendors with special permits from the City Mayor shall be allowed to sell goods from October 30 to November 3, 2022, at the designated ambulant vending areas outside the cemeteries set by the city government of Davao. “Deployment natin depende sa laki ng sementeryo ang minimum is dalawang PNP with auxiliaries. Maliban sa PNP we are also expecting volunteers from other stakeholders. We hope that the community will follow the guidelines by not bringing backpacks, jackets, pointed objects, gambling paraphernalia, loud music or videoke, and liquor,” she said.
