BONTOC, Mt. Province — As part of their ‘Education Enhancement Program,’ the police officers of 2nd Mountain Province Provincial Mobile Force Company handed over P2,000 each to four students for their educational assistance.
Education Enhancement Program or EEP is an initiative of Mountain Province PMFC that aims to provide educational assistance to selected high school students who are facing financial challenges. The program also aims to put children in school and to prevent them from being recruited by the Communist Terrorist Group.
The scholars are selected upon recommendation of the officials of the barangay where they are residing and faculty members or teachers of the school where they are currently enrolled.For January 2023, five beneficiaries from the towns of Bontoc, Bauko, and Natonin were given financial assistance.
