CEBU CITY — The Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO) is mourning the death of Police Lt. Col. Glenn Hife, the chief of police of Tuburan Municipal Police Station, who was found dead in his office on Saturday, Jan. 4. Hife complained of a stomach ache earlier in the day and went to his room to rest. Personnel later found him unconscious in a prone position on his bed.

The CPPO said Hife was known for his relentless pursuit of justice, community engagement, and earned the respect of colleagues, local leaders, and residents. Under his leadership, Tuburan saw numerous successful operations against crime and illegal activities, alongside strengthened ties between the police and the community. The CPPO said, “We mourn the loss of an exceptional officer who dedicated his life to service. CPPO extends its heartfelt condolences to Hife family and loved ones, pledging to honor his memory by upholding the values he stood for,”
