Cardinal Pell left a “considerable” and “long-lasting” impact on the Church in Australia and beyond, Sydney Archbishop Anthony Fisher says.
“It was considerable and will be long-lasting,” Archbishop Fisher said at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Sydney on Wednesday.
“In the church beyond Australia, he served as a cardinal under three Popes, was appointed by Pope Francis to what some called the number three position of the Catholic Church in the world, Prefect of the Economy.”
