Caloocan launches vax drive to prevent rise of whooping cough in the city

To prevent the rise of pertussis or whooping cough infection rates, the City Government of Caloocan, through the initiative of the City Health Department , launched a vaccine drive for the benefit of its citizens, especially for those vulnerable to the said disease such as children and people with weak immune systems.

City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan emphasized that prevention is better than cure as the city deals with 12 cases of pertussis and assured parents that vaccines are proven to be safe and effective against the said disease.
