The BYD Atto 3, a popular electric crossover in the Philippines, is getting a refresh for the 2025 model year. The updated model features revised exterior styling, including a redesigned front and rear bumper, new tail light clusters, and a more conventional window design. Interior changes and powertrain specifications are expected to remain largely unchanged.

The BYD Atto 3 has emerged as a prominent model in helping the Chinese automaker, BYD , reestablish its presence in the Philippines . This electric crossover has garnered significant traction in the market, primarily attributed to its competitive pricing and impressive battery range . Introduced as the Yuan Plus in its domestic market, the Atto 3 commenced production in 2022. Three years later, it appears that the 2025 model year will witness a series of enhancements.

Notable changes include a redesigned front bumper featuring smaller air intake lobes and a larger center intake. The corners have been smoothed out, likely for aerodynamic purposes. The headlights and decorative grille carry over from the previous model. At the rear, the tail lights receive a complete makeover with redesigned clusters, reminiscent of the updated Dolphin, incorporating a distinctive 'criss cross' LED pattern. The rear bumper also gets a similar treatment to the front, featuring new trims, while the rear spoiler showcases a new third brake light. In a surprising move, BYD has made significant alterations to the windows. The outgoing model boasted a floating rear pillar and a raked third window. The 2025 model year replaces this design with a more conventional layout, featuring larger third window openings. New wheel designs are also incorporated into the 2025 updates. While the specific interior changes remain undisclosed, anticipation suggests a few revisions, possibly for trim levels. Updates to the infotainment system and advanced driver-assist systems are also possibilities. Documents from the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) confirm that the powertrain and battery sizes will remain unchanged. This means the availability of two battery pack options, both utilizing BYD Blade technology, with capacities of 50.25kWh and 60.48kWh. Despite the variations in size, the maximum output is rated at 201hp and 310Nm

Workers' Party Files Motion to Overturn Comelec Decision Allowing Quiboloy to Run in 2025 ElectionsWorkers' Party Files Motion to Overturn Comelec Decision Allowing Quiboloy to Run in 2025 ElectionsThe Workers’ and Peasants’ Party (WPP) has filed a motion for reconsideration (MR) challenging the Comelec's decision to allow detained televangelist Apollo Quiboloy to run in the 2025 elections. The WPP argues that Quiboloy's candidacy, while facing charges of child sex trafficking, mocks the electoral process and exposes inconsistencies in the Comelec's treatment of candidates. They cite the case of Sultan Subair Guinthium Mustapha, a respected Muslim leader and WPP candidate, who was declared a nuisance candidate. The WPP calls for the Comelec to review the First Division's resolution, disqualify Quiboloy, and harmonize its procedural rules to ensure fairness for all candidates.
