The MAP emphasized the importance of a unified approach from government agencies regarding this vital project. While the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has proposed using the bus lane for high-occupancy vehicles (HOVs), the Department of Transportation (DOTr) has stated that the busway will not be removed anytime soon. The MAP also cautioned against implementing congestion fees on EDSA without proper explanation and testing. They highlighted the busway's efficiency, noting that it served over 63 million commuters in 2024 and transported 5.5 million passengers just last month. The organization pointed out that the busway's 24/7 operation and extensive network of 23 stops provide crucial transportation services that complement the MRT-3's limited route and operating hours. Instead of dismantling the busway, MAP suggested exploring alternative solutions like fully utilizing the Mabuhay Lanes as dedicated motorcycle routes to reduce traffic congestion on EDSA.
