MANILA, Philippines: Justin Brownlee dropped another all-around effort in powering Pelita Jaya Basketball to a thrilling 89-83 triumph over Mongolian squad Ulaanbaatar XAC Broncos on Thursday evening to secure a spot in the next phase of the Basketball Champions League (BCL) Asia Qualifiers.
MANILA, Philippines: Justin Brownlee dropped another all-around effort in powering Pelita Jaya Basketball to a thrilling 89-83 triumph over Mongolian squad Ulaanbaatar XAC Broncos on Thursday evening to secure a spot in the next phase of the Basketball Champions League Asia Qualifiers .The 35-year-old Brownlee fired 26 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, and issued six assists for the Indonesian club team, which improved to 2-0 in Group B.
It was a huge follow up to its 99-81 rout of Hi-Tech Basketball Club as the Indonesians earned a spot in the second round of the qualifiers, which will be held in Jakarta on April 23-25.Playmaker Andakara Prastawa Dhyaksa added 17 points while Brandon Jawato produced 15 points for Pelita Jaya, which will try to sweep the opening round when it faces Adroit Club Singapore on Saturday.
