Recto also noted in his keynote speech that the UK is the number one source of foreign direct investment inflows in the Philippines, with a total of GBP 585.74 million as of July 2024, marking a 4,230 percent increase from last year.He also emphasized various synergies between the UK and the Philippines in several areas mentioned, such as tourism, health care, manufacturing, renewable energy and infrastructure.
