Anthony, the eldest Bridgerton sibling and Viscount, is in search for a suitable wife, and he begins to court Edwina, who had just arrived from India. Edwina's disapproving sister, Kate, attempts to stop the union. However, Kate and Anthony’s verbal sparring sparks tension and brings them closer together, forming a rather complicated love triangle.
"What happens when duty is in conflict with the heart's true desire? There is potential for a considerable scandal, indeed," the trailer's YouTube description said. From Shondaland and creator Chris Van Dusen, "Bridgerton" is about high society gossip in the 19th century wherein young ladies try to find love in London’s competitive marriage market.
