THE Senate on Monday approved in third and final reading Senate Bill 2897 declaring Pampanga as the 'culinary capital' of the Philippines.Sen. Lito Lapid, one of the authors of SB 2797, in a 'rare' gesture addressed the plenary to thank his fellow senators for supporting its passage.Lapid said that the approval of the bill is a 'great honor not only for the residents of Pampanga but the whole nation as well.
''We give opportunities to local businesses, empower our communities and inspire future generations to continue preserving and innovating our culinary traditions,' said Legarda, chairman of the Senate Committee on Culture and the Arts.Sen.
