After returning to Charlottetown following a strong showing at the Detroit Red Wings’ training camp, Biakabutuka scored two goals and added an assist in the Islanders’ 4-3 road win over the Cape Breton Eagles. Biakabutuka scored the winning goal 55 seconds into overtime after the Eagles battled back from a 3-0 deficit in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League contest.The win improved the Islanders’ record to 3-2-0-0 . Cape Breton fell to 0-2-2-0.
The Islanders are back on the road Oct. 15 to face the Moncton Wildcats , and return home to Eastlink Centre to face the Drummondville Voltigeurs on Oct. 16 at 3 p.m.Before 1,868 fans at Centre 200, Michael Horth also scored twice for the Islanders, who received three assists from Jakub Brabenec. Samuel Johnson , Cam Squires of Charlottetown and Luke Patterson countered for the Eagles. Ivan Ivan and Zachary Gravel added helpers.Franky Lapenna stopped 24 of 27 shots to earn the goaltending win.
