Nadine Lustre is no longer part of the 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Miracle In Cell No. 7.”

Reports have it that Lustre bowed out of the project due to “medical concerns.”“Miss Lustre has begged off the project due to medical concerns and her resulting inability to perform her duties as an actress during the shoot up to the promotion of the film,” part of the letter Viva President and COO Vincent del Rosario sent to MMFF committee read. Nadine is managed by Viva Artists Agency.

Ferrer added that the committee already approved Bela Padilla as a replacement for the role. She will be acting alongside Aga Muhlach. “We believe that Bela Padilla is an excellent actress and a bankable star and she will significantly contribute to the film’s artistry and commercial success,” MMFF said.“Miracle In Cell No. 7” is a heartwarming comedy and family melodrama about a mentally challenged man wrongfully imprisoned for murder, who builds friendships with the hardened criminals in his cell, and in return they help him see his daughter again by smuggling her into the prison.
