BACOLOD CITY – Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco announced on Thursday, Nov. 21, that this city will host the first-ever Terra Madre Asia Pacific in 2025.
“For an astounding affirmation of our country’s direction and emergence as a leader in sustainable gastronomy tourism in our region, slow food international has chosen the Philippines to host the Terra Madre Asia Pacific in Bacolod City next year,” Frasco said in her speech at the Terra Madre Visayas program at the Negros Residences here.BACOLOD Mayor Albee Benitez, Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, Negros Occidental Gov.
Frasco said that the event will feature a slow food expo, international forum, and community experiences that will inspire new ways of thinking about food and tourism and elevate the quality of offerings in the country that will always stay true to its roots. “We are very happy that we will be hosting the very first ever Asia Pacific Slow Food next year,” Mayor Albee Benitez said, as he recognized the role of national leadership in securing this historic opportunity.
