To ensure affordable prices and fair practices during the holiday season, officials from the Department of Agriculture and Department of Trade and Industry inspected KADIWA ng Pangulo rice-for-all kiosks and other consumer goods.
Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel and Trade Secretary Maria Cristina Aldeguer-Roque inspected KADIWA ng Pangulo rice-for-all kiosks and other consumer goods at the Guadalupe Public Market in Makati City on Thursday. The officials checked the quality and prices of basic commodities to ensure reasonable costs and practices during the Christmas season.
Tiu Laurel talked to vendors about their compliance with the price tag law, National Meat Inspection Service regulations, permits, and stall rentals. This is in line with the 2024 Noche Buena price guide released by the DTI for the benefit of consumers
