Rear Admiral Valencia is a member of the PMA Class 1990 who served as the Philippine Navy Vice Commander in 2022. He was also the Commander of Naval Forces Northern Luzon in 2019 before being appointed Chief of Naval Staff in 2021. Tolentino served as the 84th PMA Superintendent since August 12, 2022. He previously held key positions including the 42nd Commander of the 2nd Infantry “Jungle Fighter” Division, the 18th Commander of the 703rd Infantry “AGILA” Brigade, Deputy Commander of the Philippine Army’s Training and Doctrine Command, and Chief of Staff of the Philippine Army.
