The SES said it received 197 calls for help in the last 12 hours, with 124 of those involving rescue technicians and 126 coming from the hard-hit town of Rochester.
Floodwaters have begun receding in Maribyrnong and 100 homes remain inundated with floodwater - a reduction from Friday.

"We are going to have a significant amount of water come down to Mooroopna and Shepparton, which are highly populated areas here in greater Shepparton," he told the ABC on Saturday.
