Foreign Minister Penny Wong says work has been done carefully, methodically, and patiently towards stabilising the relationship between Australia and China.
Ms Wong will make an historic visit to China on Tuesday in the latest sign of a significant thawing in the relations between Canberra and Beijing.
“This will take time, but I do see this visit as another step in the road,” Ms Wong said while talking at a media conference on Tuesday morning.
