Foreign Minister Penny Wong will visit Beijing this week to meet with her Chinese counterpart. 9News
It will be the first time an Australian minister has travelled to China since November 2019 and represents a significant easing of tensions between the two countries.
In a joint statement today Albanese and Wong said they were working for a stable relationship with China. The visit will mark the resumption of the Australia–China Foreign and Strategic Dialogue, last held in 2018, before Canberra-Beijing relations soured.
