The total number of novel coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) related deaths in Quezon City continued its upswing trend as the Quezon City Health Department (QCHD) recorded eight more raising the tally to 58 from the previous 50 as of 7 p.m. of April 9.
In the same report, statistics from the QCHD revealed there were eight new recoveries upping the total to 35.
Expressing anxiety over an uncertain future, a group from the slums even with the government’s assurance of ample support said a chaotic scenario is not farfetched if authorities reneged on their promise. The number of active COVID-19 cases in Quezon City which refers to those who are still alive and have not fully recovered has reached 487 up by seven from the last count of 480.
