The 6th Infantry Division reports a significant decrease in armed clashes in Barmm since 2020, attributing remaining incidents to clan disputes and neutralized terror groups, despite conflicting claims from civil society organizations.

THE insurgency in various parts of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao , particularly in Central Mindanao, has been steadily decreasing since the full establishment of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority in 2019, according to recent reports from Bangsamoro military officials.Colonel Rey C.

Meanwhile, the official also emphasized that while he could not provide specific numbers for all areas within the Moro-dominated region, the pattern of conflict decline was similar throughout the region. The newly divided provinces of Maguindanao and the scattered barangays of North Cotabato, which voluntarily opted to join Barmm and are now referred to as the Special Geographic Area belong to the area of the responsibility of the 6th Infantry Division .
