LUCENA CITY — Six people died early Friday after their vehicle crashed into a concrete barricade along the highway in Calamba City, Laguna province.

In a report, the Calamba police said a Mitsubishi Estrada pickup driven by Jhomel Licas was negotiating a blind curve along the national highway in Barangay Paciano at 3: 40 a.m. when it occupied the opposite lane.The pickup avoided colliding with an oncoming motorcycle and swerved to the right side, hit the barricade, and turned turtle.

Licas and his six passengers suffered severe injuries and were all trapped inside the wrecked vehicle.
