LUCENA CITY — A former policeman was shot dead Thursday by an unidentified assailant in Calamba City, Laguna province.

Leo James Agpalo, an officer of a security agency, was traveling around 6:15 p.m. aboard his motorcycle along a service road in Barangay Mayapa when the assailant appeared and repeatedly shot him, the police Region 4A said in a report Friday.Police were conducting further investigations to establish the motive behind the murder and identify the killer.
