FORTY-ONE members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters have surrendered to military troops in the province of Maguindanao del Sur, the military said Friday, February 28, 2025.The Army's 6th Infantry Division said the BIFF members who belong to the Bungos and Karialan factions surrendered to the 92nd Infantry Battalion on Thursday, February 27, in Salbu village, Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Maguindanao del Sur.
The BIFF surrenders from various municipalities of the province of Maguindanao del Sur and Special Geographic Area of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.The 6ID said Lieutenant Colonel Christian Cabading, 92IB commander, presented the 41 BIFF surrenderers to Major General Cerilo Balaoro Jr. 2nd Infantry Division commander who visited the battalion's forwards operating base on Thursday, in Salbu, Datu Saudi Ampatuan.
